True to the contemporary craving for stylistic interplay witnessed among this year’s menswear collections, Italian brand Circolo 1901 has been consistently producing timeless, conceptually flexible collections, savvily blending genres abiding by the mantra “simple, but not easy”. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in the industrial town of Barletta, the label has been purporting to reinvent internationally acclaimed Italian menswear style by infusing its classic tailoring with a comfortable and contemporary streetwear sensibility — pursuing the ultimate mission of converting “no blazer” people, with a particular clientele focus on the young, dynamic and active younger generations of today.

Simplicity, elegance, authenticity, and comfort have been the principles underpinning the Circolo 1901 vision ever since the brand’s very first collection, in 2009. More than a decade on, while the aesthetic form may have been tweaked, the mission persists with resolve. For SS22, the label’s menswear collection is epitomized by an efficient mix of formal and informal, functionalism and traditional elegance, with the main protagonists being the fluid, relaxed cuts and fabrics. Fittingly, the collection is composed of wardrobe essentials rendered unique by the painstaking attention to detail, quality, and shape, resulting in a flexible and transversal series of garments to be easily mixed and matched with any casual or formal staples — fleece, Jersey, and Piquet and even lighter and stretchier, making all items the perfect ally for the weather, and frantic life pace of summer life.
