Tartan, cashmere, harris tweed. The collection of CB1935 hats follows the aesthetic codes of the brand, rereading them in a modern key
Wearing a hat is a sign of style, providing character and a completely personal imprint to the look. This is well-known by the group of young entrepreneurs from Biella who two years ago decided to relaunch Cappellificio Biellese. Originally founded in Valle Cerva (in the province of Biella) in 1935, which is known for its artisanal expertise in the art of making hats, an accessory full of charm and heritage.
If up until fifty years ago the hat was an important and, according to the rules of the bon-ton, necessary accessory in the daily wardrobe, today it is likewise important in creating a personal and meticulous look. The CB1935 collection presented at Pitti is inspired by the brand’s vintage codes, those found in the archives and jealously guarded: designs, models, revamped and updated patterns, with a new twist.
"The Italian Highlands" is a meeting between Scottish spirit and Italian style. On stage are six kinds of tartan guiding the chromatic palettes. Completing the collection is also a selection of Casentino cloth, Italian cashmere, and Harris Tweed.
Twelve men’s and women’s hat models associated with fabric choices coming from the very best wool mills in the world, follow a classic line, but with a fresh and youthful touch. Premium fabrics, in which the hand that is soft to the touch is blended with the elegance of sartorial patterns.
Weft and warp, Highlands and Alps, tartan and cashmere. The results are Jockey Cap, Newsboy Cap and Irish Cap,
crafted in accordance with the standards par excellence of Italian traditional manufacturing in a wonderful blending between Scotland and Italy.
