The brand proposes sweaters and trousers in large and soft volumes, because genuine luxury is comfort and premium fabrics, like cashmere and silk
Large volumes, exquisite fabrics that softly drape across the silhouette. Ma' ry' ya, a brand founded in 2009 by the stylist Maria Icho, for the fall-winter 2021/22 season, once again offers a practical and comfortable collection. Every item has a subtle touch of glamour, matched with the highest quality of yarns, making even the most casual and sporty cut sophisticated: cashmere, silk, silk and cashmere blend, cotton, wool, and silk and linen blend.
“I strongly believe that the excellent quality of the materials is the key factor to obtaining genuine luxury in an item of clothing”, explained the stylist, who began her career as a theatrical costume designer, but who then preferred to follow her great passion: knitwear.
A love that led her to collaborate with different sector companies, before deciding to launch her own brand. It’s no coincidence that she wanted to call it ma' ry' ya, which has a double meaning: its pronunciation is similar to both the Italian word "maglia " meaning knit in English, and the name of the stylist herself, Maria. “With my brand, I would like to propose a simple, natural, essential, unisex, and ageless elegance. I wanted to create a point for reference for all those who love easy-to-wear clothing, which can be taken anywhere and used for all occasions, both at work and for running around on the weekend. Sweaters and trousers that stand out for their elegance, practicality, and for their extremely high quality”, adds Maria Icho.
The ma'ry'ya collection is completely Made in Italy, except for the Japanese selvedge denim.
