Péro Introduces a Lucid Take on Traditional Checks and Patterns

Exhibitors Spotlight focuses on a selection of brands exhibiting at this year's Pitti Uomo, showcasing their upcoming collections and special upcoming projects.


Inspired by the organic attire of local people, Péro was founded by textile and fashion graduate Aneeth Arora. Its FW21 collection is an eclectic mix of tartans and patchwork textiles from the brand’s archives. Incorporating a playful direction, immersive 3D rag dolls are incorporated into the garments. Developed in collaboration with Delhi-based illustrator Richard Gomes, 10 imaginary ragdoll characters feature throughout the collection. A nod to the exploratory spirit of being on the road, collecting objects and memories of people and places.  
Standout styles include a parka, tartan shirt sets, and overcoats, perfect for men on the move. With an emphasis on the bright and bold, each piece houses distinctive patterns and details, such as characteristic check prints, alongside contrasting piping and patterns. 
The inclusion of neon is the perfect complement for the darker tones of the typical winter wardrobe. Translated as ‘to wear’ in Marwari, Péro interprets an international aesthetic, utilizing local materials and skills. Taking inspiration from what surrounds us, the brand prides itself on producing products that connect with people, wherever they are in the world. The essence of India is interpreted via the brand's textile process, where materials pass through the hands of one craftsperson to the other.
