It's been 150 years since 1874, when Lyle & Scott was founded in Hawick, Scotland, by William Lyle and Walter Scott, masters of knitted lingerie. Embracing the mantra "Good work makes more work," Lyle & Scott has continued to produce premium men's and women's knitwear since the 1920s, collaborating with top brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. The iconic golden eagle of the 1960s originated from a gentleman's agreement with the Gleneagles golf club: the heritage linked to knitwear has evolved from its original golf inspiration to the Anglo-Saxon indie culture of the new millennium.

In the last decade, Lyle & Scott has established itself globally as an authentic British lifestyle brand. Looking ahead to the 150th anniversary, the FW 24 collection presents a renewed focus on knitwear, a return to roots enhanced by a special celebratory tartan. The collection best expresses Lyle & Scott's DNA, a blend of past and present.
