Brand Profile
Drumohr was born in 1770 in Dumfries, Scotland, with top-level knitwear collections that over time have won the most selected international clientele, from the English Royal Family to the King of Norway, actors such as Audrey Hepburn and James Stewart as well as influential people from the jet-set. It was thanks to Gianni Agnelli that the original motif "razor blade" became an icon and was called ‘biscottino’ (cookie). In 2006 the English brand was acquired by the Ciocca Group, a leading reference company in the knitwear sector, which transferred the production from Scotland to Italy and translated the values of the English tradition with the Italian taste and savoir faire. The new ownership has equipped itself with state-of-the-art machinery that has allowed to maintain the traditional yarn origin and preserve the typical Scottish manufacturing combined with great innovation. With the opening of the first single-brand stores, the market needs led Drumohr to an evolution and today the company is moving towards a collection which is not only focused on knitwear, but on a concept of total look capable of creating a proper lifestyle inside their boutiques.
