An Exercise in Minimalism, Hevō Exudes Clean & Refined for FW 21
Exhibitors Spotlight focuses on a selection of brands exhibiting at this year's Pitti Uomo, showcasing their upcoming collections and special upcoming projects.
"Fashion is not just about making clothes" - Hevō’s ultra-minimal FW 21 collection is centered around this statement. Based in Martina Franca, Puglia, the brand has taken an eco-conscious slant with its selection of clean and modern pieces. Incorporating fabrics made using renewable plant materials, the brand foregoes classic chemical production methods in favor of an eco-efficient process.
One of the key aesthetic themes of the collection is a series of fabrics featuring a bold camouflage effect, mimicking the Mediterranean scrub. Inspired by environmental decline, the tribute is a symbol for change and preservation of the plants and animals, a call to repopulate the centuries-old olive trees that once resided there.
With sustainability in mind, the brand uses eco-friendly wool, resulting in fabrics that are capable of sustaining 80% water resistance. From super-soft shetland wool to tartan characterized by complementary colored lines, the collection is an exercise in precise minimalism. Other key fabrics include a comfy puffer style nylon padded with recycled synthetic membranes and cotton raincoats finished with quilted lining.
A collection of elevated classics that exude clean lines and refined taste, the brand's aesthetic is perfect for individuals who wish to make a subtle statement.
