A new player in French Men's shoes, Timothée Paris revisits and challenges, since 2017, classic and timeless models to create new French staples with a traditional French “savoir faire”. "Timothée Paris is the embodiment of my vision of a man about town in Paris” says Masamitsu Hata, the Japanese designer of the brand, formerly of John Galliano and Berluti, and co-founder of the brand with the French entrepreneur Pierre Rivière.
The brand drew the inspiration for its name from a mischievous young boy who passes in front of the designer’s studio every day and is regularly called to order by a woman's voice; his name resonating in the street. Said name, Timothée, became part of the designer’s daily life, and he considers it "an elegant and very French name, both phonetically and visually with the acute accent on the letter é".
