Brand Profile
BEEKITE: Life is Attitude to Style
Rooted in the spiritual core of ‘vitality in tranquility,’ BEEKITE fuses the symbiotic energy of nature and humanity into its design philosophy, crafting an independent fashion brand that harmonizes modern minimalism, functional aesthetics, and contemporary Chinese sensibilities. Beginning as a footwear label, the brand has evolved into a holistic system centered on experimentation and aesthetic architecture, using garments to convey a "quiet manifesto" - a romantic yet tension-filled worldview that bridges rationality and emotion.
Aesthetic DNA: Balance of Minimalism, Function, and Poetry
Inspired by modern functional design, BEEKITE embeds ‘style as attitude’ into its DNA. Ergonomic tailoring in relaxed silhouettes - from wide-leg skirt-pants to modular outerwear - embodies utilitarian pragmatism. Natural-textured fabrics blend organic and technical materials, defining pieces like packable UV-proof blazer and wool wide-leg culottes in muted tones. Unisex minimalist cuts form the brand’s foundation, with baggy trousers and asymmetric shoulders infusing fluidity into sharp lines, echoing the ethos that ‘dressing is self-expression.’
New Chinese Aesthetics: Form, Color and Texture
Rejecting clichéd symbolism, BEEKITE deconstructs Eastern traditions through modern design language: knot-buttons merge with toggle fastenings, while digital gradient prints evoke the moss-stained lyricism of classical ink paintings. Advocating ‘symbiosis of old and new,’ the brand collaborates with heritage craftsmen to revitalize traditional techniques, such as transforming mortise-and-tenon joinery into garment fasteners or reinventing plant-dyed textiles.
Living Spaces: Beyond Garments
BEEKITE’s first store reimagines lifestyle within an old school arcade space. Customized wood-grained furniture dialogues with garment displays, while the aroma of coffee interweaves fashion, homeware, and scent into a ‘three-dimensional yet tender’ ecosystem. This spatial experiment reflects the brand’s deeper mission: fashion transcends clothing to become a medium for shaping life attitudes.
‘True style stems from honest self-awareness.’ Like a tree rooted in Eastern soil with minimalism as its roots, BEEKITE continually explores the harmonious coexistence of local culture and contemporary aesthetics. Here, every piece is a declaration of attitude, and every wear is a living embodiment of ‘Life is Attitude to Style’.
BCOSlife is the founder and creative director of Chinese independent designer brand BEEKITE. Established in 2016, BEEKITE's journey began with his profound understanding of foot structure and design, establishing the brand's core philosophy of ‘Life is Attitude to Style’ through continuous practice.
Transitioning into a fashion designer, he combines minimalism with contemporary functional aesthetics to interpret ‘the modern translation of Eastern philosophy,’ with ‘quiet vitality’ as its spiritual core.
As a cross-disciplinary designer, his creative scope spans art, technology, and spatial design: collaborating with NOSUCISM to launch the water-resistant functional sneaker RCN-11, which integrates Cordura fabric with tactical scout concepts; partnering with artist Caqian to deconstruct serious aesthetics with youthful strokes; and fully participating in the conceptualization and design of BEEKITE's flagship store. The three-story traditional arcade space merges fashion, coffee, and custom furniture under the theme of ‘attitude toward life,’ creating a ‘three-dimensional yet tender’ living environment.
Additionally, as a fashion writer, BCOSlife actively contributes to platforms like HYPEBEAST, offering in-depth analyses of visvim's craftsmanship and DBSS's reinterpretation of Rick Owens' shoe lasts, while critically reflecting on the boundaries between "inspiration and plagiarism" in design. Guided by the ‘Life is Attitude to Style’ philosophy, he integrates design practice with written expression, using a new design language to articulate the essence of China's contemporary Eastern aesthetics.
