Brand Profile
PUEBCO was born from the innovative vision of Hirotaka Tanaka, a Japanese designer, in the heart of Tokyo in 2007. Armed with his vast experience in product development and driven by an insatiable passion for discovering the most remote and authentic corners of the world, Hiro has created a line of products that are unique in their kind. Moving beyond conventional commercial logic, his approach is based on the creative use of reclaimed materials and recycled fabrics, transforming discarded items into objects of timeless charm. These items, steeped in stories and memories, seem to evoke bygone eras, instilling in the owner a sense of familiarity and deep connection.
The PUEBCO collection embraces a variety of everyday living spaces, ranging from home goods to outdoor accessories, storage solutions, and bags, showcasing the eclecticism and breadth of the offering. However, the true strength of PUEBCO lies in its ongoing search for new materials to reinvent: from recycled parachute canvas to pant hem remnants, each year the collection is enriched with new additions, staying true to the original philosophy of uniqueness and sustainability.
With a keen eye for beauty and the story behind each product, PUEBCO targets an audience that seeks not just aesthetics but also meaning in their purchases. PUEBCO's distribution network, starting in Tokyo and quickly expanding internationally, now embraces the best retail outlets worldwide, with significant presences like in the Moma Museum in New York, Merci in Paris, Tsutaya in Tokyo, and End in London.
In line with its love for the land and its many expressions, PUEBCO opened its flagship store in Florence in 2024, choosing the beautiful Manifattura Tabacchi as its home, a vibrant space where creativity and heritage meet. This marks a significant step in consolidating the brand’s presence in a city with which it has established a special bond, rich in history, culture, and contemporary energy.
