Brand Profile
The Paduan men's fashion company was founded in 1964 in Piazzola sul Brenta from the desire of the founder to respond to a specific need of the time, the "ready-made garment", without abandoning haute couture. The best master craftsmen are thus welcomed into the workshop, to offer ready-to-wear garments that respect the canons of the sartorial tradition.
Success is not long in coming. In 1972, the company presented its collection for the first time at Pitti Uomo in Florence, which attracted the attention of foreign buyers thanks to the ability to combine a sartorial style that respects tradition with a modern and comfortable fit. The company thus begins an expansion path that over the years has led it to be highly appreciated in Italy as well in foreign markets throughout Europe, up to Japan, the United States, Canada and Russia.
The attention to market demands and the continuous search for new opportunities led Belvest to already conceive two important innovations at the end of the 70s. The first is the creation of a new canvas and new shoulder pads, to make the jackets lighter and more comfortable to wear: this construction was completely original compared to the classic tailored ones.
The second innovation is the very successful deconstructed jacket, which in 1998 was registered with the "JACKETINTHEBOX©" trademark: this unlined and deconstructed garment, made with high quality fabrics, is ultra-light and always manages to remain flawless even when folded and placed in the suitcase. The jacket is sold enclosed in an elegant box, which becomes the emblem of the unmistakable, elegant and modern style of Belvest. In the following years this concept was also applied to suits, coats and dusters.
