The premium fashion brand "D-VEC", which was launched in March 2017 by Japan's leading fishing tackle brand "DAIWA", is an original brand from Japan that makes full use of the high technological development capabilities and functionality cultivated in the field of fishing. In the background of DAIWA's business, when considering the marine environment, discarded fishing nets are one of the serious problems. Used fishing nets need to be disposed of as industrial waste, but they may be left in the ocean without proper disposal. Therefore, D-VEC has started a clear upcycling project for traceability. In cooperation with Japan fisheries officials in Hokkaido and recycling resource manufacturers, we collect and reuse fishing nets discarded in Hokkaido and develop products with new added value. D-VEC also will use this discarded nylon to present an unparalleled capsule collection that combines the high functionality that Daiwa has cultivated with the latest fashion.
