Brand Profile
A New Luxury for a Changing World
Hul le Kes is more than a fashion label—it is a movement redefining luxury, individuality, and sustainability in fashion. Based in Arnhem, the Netherlands, the brand is built on a foundation of craftsmanship, circularity, and care. By combining traditional techniques with innovative designs, Hul le Kes creates garments that transcend trends and celebrate the beauty of imperfection. Each piece is crafted from upcycled materials, embracing the stories embedded in aged fabrics and natural textures. This philosophy reflects the brand’s belief that true luxury lies not in perfection but in authenticity, individuality, and the human touch.
At Hul le Kes, imperfection is an art form. Inspired by the quiet beauty of decay and the charm of the unconventional, the label designs for those who value depth and meaning in their wardrobe. Its genderfluid collections, timeless designs, and focus on mental well-being set Hul le Kes apart as a leader in ethical and inclusive fashion.
Autumn/Winter 2025 – Echoes of the Past
With its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, Echoes of the Past, Hul le Kes invites us to rediscover the beauty of imperfection and the timelessness of individuality. This collection reflects themes of nostalgia, isolation, and renewal, drawing inspiration from the melancholic grandeur of old family estates, the serene isolation of island life, and the understated charm of aging office spaces. Through these influences, the collection delves into the tension between individuality and conformity in an age shaped by algorithms and globalization.
“Our Autumn/Winter 2025 collection reflects a world in transition,” says creative director Sjaak Hullekes. “It’s a protest against the capitalist ideal and a call for a slower, more meaningful way of life. By embracing imperfections and creating friction between elements that might not logically fit together, we celebrate individuality and the artistry of the unexpected.”
Crafted in the Hul le Kes studios, the collection pairs upcycled materials with traditional handcrafting techniques. The result is a dynamic interplay of textures, fabrics, and colors that juxtapose heritage with innovation. Each garment tells a story, celebrating friction, character, and authenticity. "True luxury lies in valuing people, materials, and stories," adds co-founder Sebastiaan Kramer. "This collection embodies a quiet rebellion against the dehumanization of our norms and invites us to rethink what we truly value."
