Brand Profile
To offer the finest perfumes, MARIEJEANNE is involved in every step of creation: from the planting of raw materials to the final fragrance. Each composition is made with natural essential oils that are carefully sourced, each carrying its own originality. All products are manufactured directly in Grasse, by hand, in small batch.
Born in Grasse, the founder, Georges Maubert has been immersed in the world of perfume since childhood. A fifth-generation member of the Robertet company (world leader in natural raw materials since 1850) he grew up surrounded by farmers, chemists, perfumers, and sourcing experts. This ancestral know-how has been mastered and expanded to offer the most beautiful fragrances.
In 2014, he founded MARIEJEANNE with a first candle collection, later expanding the line with Colognes in 2018 and eaux de parfum in 2019. To create new formulas, Georges regularly visits cultivation sites and producers around the world: Neroli in Morocco, Sandalwood in New Caledonia, Vanilla in Madagascar, Iris in Turkey… Travels that led to creations such as Iris Pallida and Vétiver Santal.
Often present in Grasse for the harvesting of local flowers like centifolia rose, jasmine and mimosa, he continues to draw inspiration from this unique terroir.
Georges has chosen a minimalist packaging that highlights the perfume and its formulation. Made of wood, it is entirely free of plastic and unnecessary waste. The green colour evokes nature and recalls the original laboratory bottles.
MarieJeanne initiates collaborations in various creative fields that combine art and perfumery.
