Sophisticated workwear with sartorial influences for timeless elegance: the slow luxury of the Parisian brand focuses on sustainability, hand-crafted processes, and recovered vintage fabrics.
Designers: Hugues Fauchard and Rémi Bats
Based in: Paris, France
Inspirations: The creative duo is fascinated by uniforms, even vintage ones. Authentic and comfortable pieces for a modern wardrobe, playing on dimensions and structures in the name of timeless elegance.
Style: Sustainable luxury and fabrics in natural and renewable fibers of the highest quality. Upcycling of vintage garments, in particular workwear and military uniforms.
Passions: The sense of adventure and discovery, a fascination with the sea and the sky, and the navy and aviation stylistic codes.
Now: For the FW2021 collection, Hugues Fauchard and Rémi Bats have reinvented the Ivy League style developed at the beginning of the 1950s and taking inspiration from uniforms of the most renowned US elite university such as Princeton, Harvard, Yale or Dartmouth. Uniforme transposes its ethics of conscious minimalism, uncompromising quality, and a touch of military tailoring to make it its own and rethink it in a more modern key. The starting point is a question that the designers have asked themselves and ask all of us too: what would happen if the future leaders of the world, graduates from these elite institutions, were required to study environmental protection?
