Beaugrand was founded in 2000 as the only brand of Ikeda Kohgei, one of the leaders in the Japanese market of luxury handbags with 80 years of history in the leather industry. The brand offers a unique style called luxury-casual, that is classic or trendy fashion for everyday use, truly innovative in the market of accessories in reptile leather. Ikeda Kohgei was established in the 30’s by the founder Junichi Ikeda and won the most important awards in Japan, such as the Shiju Hosho Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon and the Soco Kyokujitsu-sho Order of the Rising Sun. Combining Ikeda Kohgei’s technology with its own aesthetical sensitivity, Beaugrand achieved its first international success in 2008 participated in the Kansei Japan Design Exhibition at the Louvre in Paris.
