Brand Profile
PANIZZA, ITALIAN ELEGANCE
The hat is an emblem of charm, elegance, individuality that in Italy finds its highest expression in the unique craftsmanship of Panizza.
The history of Panizza began in 1879, along the shores of Lake Maggiore, where it became one of the most famous hat manufacturers in the world. The success of the brand was based on the technical skills and the pursuit of absolute quality fused with brilliant insights, allowed the conquest of foreign markets.
In 1981 the production was transferred to Montevarchi, to the Falcus hat factory, a more attuned reality that over the years has made Panizza's fortune.
Today, Panizza's philosophy is based on high craftsmanship, meticulous attention to the details, the search for excellent felts and great attention to sustainability and the environment through, for example, the use of wool. The other iconic felts of the brand are made of rabbit hair, coming from sources that allow the recycling of otherwise untapped raw materials and beaver fur that comes from a careful and weighted selection in order to preserve the ecosystem. They are all rigorously certified as a guarantee of quality and origin.
Panizza hats are little gems of Italian history that travel around the world. Like all the masterpieces that are conceived in Haute Couture ateliers, even our hats are "children" of master artisans who make them by hand with love and care.
Another little gem is the Museum of the Art of the Hat preserved in the old factory, which tells the stories of hats, hat factories, brands and the individuals that wore them.
Panizza's mission is to create a hat suitable for each head and make it become a distinctive trait of personality, a trend element, strongly characterising a way to stand out with style, an opportunity to spread elegance and luxury around the world.
