The idea of TBD Eyewear stems from the desire to enhance Italian craftsmanship in the world, giving life to a collection of eyeglasses and sunglasses that is inspired by classic elegance and the Made in Italy tailoring tradition.
The minds behind TBD Eyewear are those of Fabio Attanasio, entrepreneur and creator of the Italian blog of the same name, leader in the sector of men's fashion and crafts, The Bespoke Dudes, and Andrea Viganò, an entrepreneur passionate about Made in Italy and Internationalization.
Over the past year, our team has worked hard to find a natural, renewable and sustainable alternative to our production, with the aim of minimizing our environmental impact and creating an eco-sustainable collection in complete respect for the planet.
The idea of using bio acetate, a material extracted from cotton and wood fibres, phthalate-free and therefore 100% biodegradable and recyclable, came to life. The bio acetate has allowed us to obtain frames with a green soul, unique and resistant while maintaining all the characteristics and performance of traditional acetate.
TBD Eyewear glasses, therefore, go hand in hand with the concept of sustainability and Italian craftsmanship, giving value to the skilled workforce that has always characterized our beautiful country. The products are in fact the result of experience acquired in more than fifty years of activity in a family-run shop. The degree of craftsmanship is very high and the entire production process takes place in Italy, from the acetate plates to the lenses, up to the screws, produced by a small Venetian company on moulds recovered from the 1930s.
Each TBD Eyewear model stands out for its timeless design and bears the name of the men's tailoring from which it takes inspiration, recalling an innate and timeless elegance. In this way, an accessory with a classic style takes shape, to be easily combined with informal garments or tailored suits.
Our glasses can be purchased in the most prestigious stores in the world.
