Barrett's story begins in Parma in 1917 when the owner of a famous London tannery, John Richardson Barrett, traveling to Italy, decided to buy a pair of shoes in a shoemakers store in the city center. After having appreciated the incomparable quality, comfort and elegance, he decides to become the official supplier of the famous shop, guaranteeing only the best leathers.
Only after the war a loyal customer of Barrett, Eliseo Putzolu, join the company and bring it back to the success of the past.
And it is first with Paolo and then with Antonio, respectively Eliseo's son and grandson, that the brand becomes an international icon, growing year after year.
Today Barrett stands out for being one of the few footwear companies that have been producing 100% Made in Italy luxury shoes for almost a century, preserving the characteristics of extreme quality, selection of fine leathers and entirely artisanal manufacturing.
The production is concentrated in the Parma factory, the center of a developed and solid reality, which makes use of artisans, creatives, designers and technicians who, all together, create excellent and always new collections, presented in the showroom in via Montenapoleone, 21 in Milan .
