Founded in 1973, Italian label Felisi prides itself on timeless design and unique craftsmanship. Recognized for its signature seam detailing, its upcoming collection includes travel bags reimagined for everyday use – 'creating the perfect companions for daily adventures'.
This season sees the introduction of 'Felisi Dogs', a collection dedicated to accessories for dogs, complete with collars, leashes and a walk bag holder.
We spoke to Felisi CEO Annalisa Felloni about the brand’s ethos, the inspiration behind the SS23 collection, what's next for the brand, and more.
What was the conceptual foundation behind Felisi?
The brand was born 50 years ago as a manufacturer of belts: handmade with exclusive leathers, studs and embroidery. We then quickly created the first ‘sample holder’ bag that has now become the famous piece that we continue to produce today. The history of our brand is very interesting because it starts from the choice to use a particular processing of the seams. Resistant and technical but above all, very identifying.The details in natural brass are also a distinctive feature of our brand.
If you could choose a person of interest – past or present, to be a muse / brand ambassador for Felisi, who would it be and why?
We have always thought that the actor, producer Francesco Favino could be our ideal face, because in addition to embodying the traits of the Mediterranean man, he has a behavioural ethic that we like very much. A distinct person who is hardly found in everyone's mouth and stands out for his culture and professionalism.
What was the initial concept behind the SS23 collection?
We strongly believe in taking care of free time, so we try to make the moments of our customer’s days special in a unique and exclusive way. The SS23 collection represents the return to travel and the ‘freedom’ that prompted us to create unique and exclusive objects for leisure time. This is the reason why this season we will present a collection that speaks of travel and the desire to discover and meet.
Please talk us through the main influences behind this collection - were there any that were non-fashion related?
We believe in human values such as sharing and human contact and the simplicity of the little things that always make the difference. We will present a collection linked to the world of spiritual and physical travel, with bags which can contain all the indelible memories of our customers.
What are the key pieces that you are most excited about from this collection and why?
As an absolute novelty, we will present a preview of the exclusive Felisi Dogs collection, which includes collars, leashes, kennels and a delightful walk bag holder. This part of the collection excites us very much because we have also extended the Felisi world to our four-legged friends.
Can you talk us through the key silhouettes that define the collection?
The SS23 collection was created and designed to accompany our customers on their unforgettable travels. Accessories such as beauty cases, coat hangers and shirt holders become precious for managing all the movements of our customers.
What key element would you like people to take from this collection?
Our unlined Boston bag which is made of a doubled technical material and finished with vegetable tanned leather. It’s light, resistant and very practical thanks to the adjustable handles with brass buckles.
What was the biggest issue that you had to face during the design process for the new collection and how did you overcome it?
We have values that have become our symbols such as hand stitching, natural brass and high quality leathers. Sometimes thinking of new models that are technical and practical to satisfy the requests of our customers becomes complicated, but we have managed to do this and build a contemporary product that embodies our values.
What's next for the brand?
We will continue to observe people and do research on new materials and colours, presenting a product in line with the customer's requests while maintaining our ethical values.

We hope to meet all our customers and see many people, and to establish new collaborations.
