Comm. Aldo Botticelli, in 1950, transformed an 1800s grain warehouse into a factory and inaugurated the industrialization of Italian footwear. Sixty years later, in that same building, his grandsons Andrea, Giorgio, and Marco Vecchiola, carrying on the family tradition, founded FESSURA. In this cutting-edge Italian brand, fashion meets new technologies to offer high-performance, modern and sustainable products.
The name Fessura recounts the distinctive feature of the CHANGE® project, the 1999 sneaker from the through-holes in its sole, which later became the icon and inspiration of the Fessura world: an Italian term, for an Italian brand. Even its logo perfectly reflects both this concept and a deeper meaning. In fact, the brand, as through a "slit" (fessura), is constantly seeking change, a new world, rewriting the present with cutting-edge, mind-bending ideas. The aim is to create a union of design, novelty and technology, through advanced, innovative and patented products.
At FESSURA we do not simply design and make sneakers; we rethink how they are made. We never stop, believe in change, breathe change, and are ENERGY IN MOTION. We are the pioneers of environmentally sustainable shoes with the CHANGE® patent, sock shoes with the SOCKSHOES® patent, and mental and physical well-being shoes with the REFLEXSYSTEM® patent. We were the first brand to reduce Co2 emissions in footwear production, explore new materials and cutting-edge production processes, and launch products designed for wellness.
