UNIFORME is a sustainably minded menswear brand launched in 2017 in Paris by Hugues Fauchard and Rémi Bats. Both designers shared the urge to return to a more artisanal, eco-conscious and locally made luxury after working for major Parisian houses. Uniforms, through their respective family history, have always held a special place. Hugues’s father was a public works contractor and Rémi’s stepfather was a firefighter. UNIFORME's silhouette is balanced between technical codes, noble fabrics and hand-crafted, singular designs with an attention to details. Both designers particularly focus on silhouette and volumes by confronting their attachment to oversize and loose fit with the strictness of military clothing and workwear. Environmental concerns are also a main source of inspiration as the designers always try to connect fashion to global issues looking for alternatives. Each UNIFORME piece is designed and crafted as part of an extensive reflection on sustainable development and know-how preservation. UNIFORME garments are produced locally in France and North Italy by top manufacturers and craftsmen.
