The story begins in the late 1980s, a time when cowboy boots were much more than just boots: they were symbols. In the 1970s, Elysée discovered fashion and the world of business. Working in the aeronautics industry during the week and as a saleswoman on weekends, she quickly developed a keen understanding of products and the expectations of her time. In 1987, Lionel and Thierry, two of her three sons, embarked on a trip to Mexico, an adventure that would transform their vision of the future. In León, the cradle of the western boot and leatherwork, they discovered a unique expertise. And so, in 1987, MEXICANA was born.
