AN EXHIBITION AT THE PITTI DISCOVERY GALLERY
More than a collaboration, it is a story of friendship: the bond between Fabio Falcetta and Michele De Lucchi, which culminates in June with the exhibition DIALOGO VISIVO TRA MESTIERI: FASHION DESIGNER E ARCHITETTO - VISUAL DIALOGUE BETWEEN CRAFTS: FASHION DESIGNER AND ARCHITECT. This project takes place at the Pitti Discovery Gallery in Via Faenza, Florence, from June 13 to 16, with opening hours from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. The exhibition will inaugurate on June 13, with a vernissage from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
It was the 90s, and Florence was establishing itself as a cultural hub for fashion. Pitti Immagine involved prominent figures such as Marco Rivetti, Vittorio Rimbotti, Raffaello Napoleone, Mario Boselli, Agostino Poletto, and Luigi Settembrini. During that time, in the halls of the Fortezza da Basso, Fabio Falcetta presented his first collection: a selection of outerwear for Montedoro. The booth was designed together with his friend and colleague Michele De Lucchi. Since then, their thinking has evolved into a creative partnership, united by a passion for ideas expressed with flair and inventiveness.
To honor their journey, Fabio and Michele return to the scene to celebrate their three-decade-long conversation between fashion and design. The exhibition is set up near the Fortezza da Basso and is a retrospective that traces their journey through a selection of iconic pieces: garments and objects capable of breaking into everyday use.
