In 2001 Benedetto Battaglini had the idea of exploiting the shape of the heel to hold it without the need for straps and made a prototype of summer sandal with the back of the foot free. In the following years unfortunately his project does not find interest in the most important companies in the sector, so in 2015, after numerous attempts and supported by his son Federico, he decides not to give up and to produce his own sandals. After 2 years of design and study, thanks also to the collaboration with the Maresca factory, finally in 2017, the first monobloc rubber sandal (patented) was born, which holds the heel without the use of straps. 
In the same year, father and son founded Blipers Srl, the owner of the patents and trademark Blipers, in the meantime registered in Italy and in many other countries. In 2020, Blipers also launched the flip-flop model, with the same heel-locking feature. So today, there are 2 models of Blipers, strictly made in Italy (the Maresca factory, in the province of Mantova, for 50 years produces rubber and pvc footwear), the sandal and flip-flop, unisex from number 29 to 46, made of soft thermoplastic rubber, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, PVC and phthalate free, 100% recyclable. The soles and insoles of both models are made with non-slip texture.
