Brand Profile
ZIFEI WANG is an independent Chinese designer brand founded by Zifei Wang in 2014, with registrations in both London and Beijing.
Rooted in enigmatic Eastern aesthetics, the brand reinterprets oriental cultural symbols through a contemporary lens. It merges heritage essence with deconstructed silhouettes and a forward‑thinking creative philosophy that embraces diverse design tendencies, such as gender fluidity, retro‑futuristic, and ecosophy. Ancient intangible heritage crafts are subtly embedded within modern creations, endowing each piece with layered cultural connotations and subtle oriental grace.
Rejecting rigid traditional replication, ZIFEI WANG advocates a spontaneous and natural interpretation of oriental culture. The brand continually transcends geographical and aesthetic boundaries, and upholds eco‑friendly sustainability as a long‑standing core principle. Through deterritorialized expression of China’s diverse regional cultures, the brand draws inspiration from cross‑regional civilizations: the Dunhuang‑inspired collection Dust Against Light, the Northern Wei culture rooted series Nomadism, and reflection of Tianjin industrialization and healing power of folk culture in the collection Endless River... By integrating Eastern and Western visions and reconciling ancient heritage with contemporary perspectives, it builds a refined and distinctive modern oriental aesthetic system.
The brand has been selected for London Fashion Week’s official schedule and awarded the national title of ‘China’s Top 10 Fashion Designers’. It also holds the honor of ‘International Cultural Role Model’ conferred by the UNESCO‑affiliated International Intangible Cultural Heritage Foundation. Continuously featured by Harper’s Bazaar for six consecutive years and interviewed by premium media including VOGUE, Madame Figaro and L'Officiel, ZIFEI WANG’s designs are worn by over 500 influential figures worldwide, such as Jackie Chan.
