Skarabeos is a design brand from Austria.
Design and sustainability are the two core values for our brand.

We develop iconic design products for Skarabeos. Sophisticated and calm design is combined with Japanese aesthetics and exceptional functionality.

The idea of preserving and renewing nature inspires us to make all Skarabeos products sustainable. We use materials that are sustainable. All Skarabeos products are produced in Europe. 
In contrast to classic fashion, we do not make collections every season. Instead, we develop less but very sophisticated design pieces that we keep in our range for the long term.  

Skarabeos is run by Wolfgang Langeder.

Wolfgang has been working successfully as a product designer in Linz/Austria for many years. His work has been awarded international design prizes and can be seen in museums worldwide. With his many years of experience in design and fashion, he is the creative and business mastermind of Skarabeos.

With his affinity for Japanese aesthetics, Wolfgang has developed an understated yet highly sophisticated design language for Skarabeos that can be experienced in all our products. Skarabeos designs are simple and understated, but always reveal an incredible depth and uniqueness. This quiet distinctiveness and elegance make our products ideal companions for many years.
